Happy Adviser Appreciation Month!

February is all about Valentine's Day, March is about basketball and St. Patty's, but April is about ADVISERS. The Psi chapter would like to thank these lovely women for taking the time to be a part of making Psi everything that it is and more! Our chapter could not be luckier to have such accomplished advisers looking out for us and helping us succeed. We are all looking forward to getting to know these awesome women more and more each semester!

(In order pictured above: Kendra, Emily and Kendall!)

Kendra Scott:

Kendra joined AST in the spring of 2008 and currently serves as our Chapter Adviser. She was elected Ritual Chair in 2009 and was our Faculty Advisor for 2010-2012. As an undergrad, Kendra put the A in Active and was Greek Week Director for 2009 & 2010. She’s currently working at Christopher Newport University as a Hall Director and Panhellenic adviser! Psi will feel forever honored to have helped kick-start the leadership career of this amazing sister!

Emily Jesse:

Emily was a very active member of the Psi chapter. Before she was President of the Psi chapter in 2008, Emily also served as Risk Management Chair. During her time at JMU she also served on the volunteer committee for the FSL Awards Banquet. She was named the Most Likely To Become a National Officer and then actually became an Educational Consultant for a year and a half! We are so excited to have Emily Jesse as our Recruitment Advisor and see her in a couple weeks for our recruitment workshop!

Kendall Richards:

Kendall Richards was hands down the most crafty person to ever member of the Psi chapter. We owe our lovely basement set-up to her interior design talents! While a collegiate member, Kendall served as Vice President in 2009 and New Member Educator in 2010. Kendall was a devoted member of Psi and a wonderful role model for her Alpha Nu new members :) She currently serves as our New Member Adviser, and we could not imagine anyone more devoted or qualified for that position!

(In order pictured above: Jamie and Pam!)

Jamie Jones Miller:

Jamie is well on her way to conquering the world ;) She was an active member of Psi, and immediately following graduation, became an educational consultant. She went on to serve on Alpha Sigma Tau’s NPC Delegation since 2000, and later became a member of the National Council of Alpha Sigma Tau since 2007. Currently, she is the National Vice President of Alpha Sigma Tau. Jamie recently received the Northern Virginia Alumnae Panhellenic Woman of Distinction Award and is a recipient of Alpha Sigma Tau’s Order of the Yellow Rose. We were excited to honor her with the FSL award of Outstanding Alumni this year, and love having her as our Chapter Consultant!

Pam Steele:

Pam currently works as an Area Director for JMU’s Office of Residence Life and is Psi’s Faculty Adviser. Pam is one of the most amazing people to ever have worked with our chapter. She’s always excited to meet sisters for lunch, lend a listening ear, hold us accountable and encourage us to be our best everyday. It’s safe to say that we do not know where we would be today without Pam’s love and dedication this past year. She has been an incredible adviser, and we are so proud to have initiated her into our sisterhood March 23rd, 2013! Pam, you’re an amazing and inspirational woman and we could not be happier to call you a sister <33
