I hope everyone
enjoyed their holiday and is ready for an awesome spring semester! The Psi Chapter of
AST is in good hands this year. Sophomore and Alpha Omicron, Rebecca Mignone is
entering office with high spirits, big plans, and a contagious smile! We’re all
confident that she is going to do great things for our organization. Let’s learn
a little more about the head of AST’s Psi Chapter…
Major:
Kinesiology (exercise science), Pre Physical Therapy
Future
plans: “I hope to go to physical therapy school and work as physical therapist
for athletes”
Hobbies:
Running and swimming
Favorite
part about JMU: “The people are definitely my favorite part of JMU. As cliché
as it sounds, the sense of community is very apparent from the day you set foot
on campus and continuing on until after graduation.”
Favorite
part about being in AST: “My favorite part of AST is the connections I have been able to
make. Coming to JMU, I was very nervous being away from home and not
recognizing people everywhere I went. It was great to quickly have a large
group of women who were so welcoming to help JMU feel like home to me.”
What
are you most looking forward to as President: “I am looking forward to all of
the positive changes and new traditions we can add to make our organization the
best it can be.”
Now let’s see
how well you think you know Rebecca with a game of “2 truths and a lie” :
1. She has a cat
named Finnegan
2. She saw ski
jump and luge in the Olympics
3. She is the
youngest person in her family
Comment below
with which of the three statements you think is actually false!
Congratulations
Rebecca, we’re all really looking forward for what’s in store this semester and
know that you’re going to a fantASTic job representing us J
