This year's National Convention (that amazing event held every two years bringing sisters from all over the country together for a three day weekend) was held in Indianapolis, IN. The Psi chapter sent eight ladies to the Hyatt Regency hotel where they spent Thursday through Saturday voting on new rules and positions, participating in educational workshops, and attending fun nighttime events, like the Yellow Rose Ball. Megan Kerns got to serve on the Election Committee and Alexa Johnson as the Assistant to the National Secretary. Two sisters even stayed an extra day to learn how to facilitate the Pilot program the Psi chapter will be participating in this year (get ready to learn, ladies!).
Being that the sorority's national headquarters is in Indy, the girls all got a free tour! It was an amazing opportunity to sign the attendance record and take pictures of Psi alumna and past President, Sybil King's, desk. Other Psi alumnae in attendance: Charlotte Evans Floyd, Lara Cegala-Williams ('93), Jamie Jones Miller ('99), Shelly Marie Redmond ('01), Joanne Rupprecht Walter ('06), and the most recent Educational Consultants, Cayte Merryman ('12) and Ashley Smith ('12).
